Blue Ridge Chapter VCOA January Meet 1
Where: Rendezvou at Buc-ee’s Gas-ateria in Florence, South Carolina.
When: Saturday January 18th
Why? Because it is the ninth wonder of the world.
Buc-ee’s is the largest convenience store (68,000 sq ft.) gas station in the world. 180 pumps
The chain has become well known for its food, cleanliness of its bathrooms.
The plan is to “tour” Buc-ee’s and investigate the bakery (cookies, kolaches, and pastries), brisket bar and fudge bar, snack aisle, soda, coffee, and Icee station. Inspect the walls lined with various candy and beef jerky flavors to purchase, including a beef jerky bar. Sample the BBQ brisket sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, breakfast tacos/bowls/burritos/sandwiches. For the caloric challenged, cups of fruit and vegetables are available. Fortify yourselves for the drive home with a scoop or two of ice cream and Dippin’ Dots.
The must have are the Beaver Nuggets” (flavored corn puff snacks).
I’m also planning an overnight in Charleston or Savannah? Who is in?? I need a soft “yes” now so I can make reservations. Let me know if you prefer Charleston or Savannah?
